Our Hacker-Pschorr brewery expends considerable extra effort – as we do – in making the popular Edelhell (Pale Ale) in wooden barrels.
The brewing, storage of the barrels and the filling still requires real craftsmanship.
From the Wooden Keg Parlour, you can directly see into the beer cooling area. There, the wood barrels are stored beneath ice blocks.
The meltwater and the humidity in the chamber contribute significantly to the tightness of the barrels.
